In November 2019, The Center for Craft launched a new coworking space tailored to the needs of Asheville’s creative sector with the goal of connecting fellow creatives, makers, and supporting companies in a vibrant environment that encourages inspiration and innovation. The project puts craft in context to other creative disciplines in an effort to foster cross-disciplinary collaboration.

A collaborative and functional environment well-lit by floor-to-ceiling windows and large skylights, Cowork at Center for Craft offers a perfect mix of public and private workspace, including a reading lounge, classroom spaces, a kitchenette, a coffee lounge and phone booths. It is designed for and by makers and features art installations by local, regional, and nationally-acclaimed artists like Harvey Littleton, Tanja Aguiñiga, and more.
